Q: How do I get an estimate? A: You can either go to our Estimate Request page and fill out the form there, or you can phone our office and answer some questions over the phone. Q: My roof has moss on it. Should I have it power washed? A: No, if your roof has asphalt shingles power washing it will take the granules off and may cause leaks. A good stiff broom and a bleach & liquid tide combination should work. Q: How can I prevent moss from growing on my roof? A: If you are going to re-roof in the near future, I suggest purchasing Algae Block shingles. This has like a “scotch guard” built right into the shingles to deter moss growth. If you aren’t going to re-roof anytime soon, I suggest installing zinc stripping. Q: I have granules in my gutter. Is this preventable? A: Granules in the gutter may indicate that it is time for a new roof. |
